We will!

First, we labeled our cups.

Then, we watered and planted our wheat kernels.

Now, we wait...

Walk This Way!

Did you see them?

They were green and gold.

They were beautiful against the azure sky.

 

They were fun!!! 

 

They filled the sky around the DSU Football field

on Friday morning, October 5th. 

 

How did they get there?

That's the day PDS students, faculty, parents, and friends walked at school to promote healthy living!

Everyone carried a green or a gold balloon.  
We were so excited!

 Led by the Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department, 
DSU athletes, and Mrs. Burd, 
we began our walk to the DSU football field.

 

  

 

We walked all the way around the football stadium, holding tightly to our balloons.  It was a windy day.

And then...

... we waited to release our balloons.

Ready, set, RELEASE!!!

 Up, up, and away they went!

Woohoo!

Before returning to school, 

we posed for a picture with some of the DSU athletes.

 

Then, we smiled  with Mr. Hays and Mr. Horton.  

It sure was nice of them to drive that good-looking fire truck for us!

 Remember - go for a walk! Be fit!

Apples, apples, and more apples!!

 

After learning about apples, we decided to make homemade applesauce. Everyone got to help.

Everyone enjoyed eating the yummy applesauce!!

 

Our rooms smelled SO good all day! 

It was definitely worth the wait! 

 

We also learned the parts of an apple and completed a sequencing activity.
