Do You Hear What I Hear?

What a treat it was to have Della's mom as a guest speaker! 

Mrs. Moseley is a speech language pathologist.

The week before her visit, 

we read a story about a deaf girl

 and learned about our sense of hearing.  

Her presentation utilized our classroom technology

 as she told us about how 

she helps people who have difficulty hearing and speaking.

 

We learned so much and enjoyed practicing sign language!

Angry bird

 The Angry Bird, from our CHARLESTON WRAP fundraiser, got to be in second grade! He spent one day in Miss Pongetti's class and another day in Mrs. Leininger's class. He had so much fun and learned lots of new things from our sensational second graders!!

Angry Bird learned about comparing numbers in math!!

Of course, he was very impressed by our use of technology in the classroom, too!

 

Angry Bird helped look up our vocabulary words for our story this week, The Wolf's Chicken Stew.

Social Studies FUN!!

We learned this week about "Our Place in Space" and made a "Where in the World Are We?" craftivity!
