Do You Have Enough Ones?

Last week, we found out just how important that question is when you are subtracting!

We are subtracting double digit numbers, and
sometimes you have to regroup!

Hands-on manipulatives help us visualize the relationship between tens and ones.

This poem helps us remember possible scenarios and what to do.

Knowing our math facts helps our accuracy and speed.

Lots of practice makes us brighter and brighter!  :)

Who's Who in Government

Our social studies projects
always help us organize and review the information from our textbook.
Recently, we've studied the 3 levels of government.
Each level - local, state, and federal - has an executive, a legislative, and a judicial branch.

If you lift the flaps, you will see the names of
Mayor Nowell, Governor Bryant, and President Obama.

It's always nice for our work to be displayed in the hall

We are proud be citizens of
Cleveland, Mississippi, and the United States of America!

Space Figures

Sphere? Rectangular prism? Cone? Cylinder? Cube? Pyramid?

We enjoyed guessing the contents of our space figure mystery bags!
Nice going, second graders!
